This 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser Prado SX KZJ78W is a right-hand-drive example that was imported from Japan to the US in December 2022 through Savannah, GA, and it now shows 163.5k kilometers (~101.5k miles). Power comes from a 3.0-liter 1KZ-TE turbodiesel inline-four which features electronically controlled fuel injection and an intelligent electronic throttle control system and is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The truck features split cargo doors as well as an original grille, bumpers, door handles, and mirror caps. Additional exterior equipment includes a left-front fender mirror, a rear tow point, running boards, Toyota-branded rain guards, body-colored mud guards, and aftermarket taillights.
The truck is finished in black and gray over a cloth upholstery (black covers) and equipped with a 2″ suspension lift with Dobinsons Springs as well as air conditioning, a Pioneer touchscreen stereo with Apple Car Play, tinted windows, a padded two-tier center console with cup holders, side-folding third-row seats, power windows, locks, and mirrors. The right-hand-drive cabin features front bucket seats and a split-folding rear bench trimmed in blue/gray cloth with patterned inserts (black covers), and side-folding third-row seats.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 170-km/h speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A supplementary cluster of gauges (described below) is also installed and included in the sale.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The front axle is equipped with power-operated locking hubs.
Slight surface rust on front bumper and on wiper mounts, small ding in passenger door, small tear in rear door interior panel and in passenger seat cover, and other very minor flaws around the vehicle are shown in the pictures. Sunroof is not functional.
This 70-Series Prado is now offered by the seller with, importation documents and a clean North Carolina title.
Since imported, all work was completed in Feb/Mar 2023 through Speed House in Durham, NC. Work includes the following: • Timing belt and tensioner replacement with genuine Toyota parts, oil change with Chevron Delo 15w40 and Napa filter, flush and changed coolant, air filter was replaced. • Winch Alt Badlands Apex 12k with fairlead installed on factory bumper for hidden look. • Custom remote solenoid box on core support and built base plate attached to frame rails. • Upgrade alternator to 120a model to keep up with increased electrical demand. • FJ40 15” black steel wheels with Toyota hubcaps, 5x wheels 5x hubcaps. 5x Toyo Open Country M/T 33/10.5/15. • Spare Genuine toyota spare tire mount, mount holes were welded shut, drill out, chase threads, seal edges of sheet metal to prevent rust. • Compressor Gauges ARB Single compressor installed under hood. Controls in cabin. • Custom mounting plate, controls in cabin, wiring harness and mounting plate ready for air locker system. • VDO Boost, engine coolant temp, and exhaust gas temp gauges mounted in center console. • Deleted EGR system and throttle plate, install EGT Probe. • Boost reference in intake blanking plate. • Gauge backlights come on with headlight and radio dims. • Coolant temp gauge is mechanical and works without power. • Powder coated hitch receiver and installed with new hardware. • Roof rack Frontrunner slimline 85.3in “¾” rack, rack spacers. • ARB Touring Aluminum encased awning with LED strip (8.2’ x 8.2’). • Radio Pioneer DMH-1500NEX with Apple CarPlay and Android, wiring adapter, USB cable in center console.
